Conservation & NAL Committee

Organizes and oversees conservation projects in which the Club is involved, including the Rain Garden.
NAL: Serves as an educational vehicle for the membership, keeps abreast of the legislative issues and represents the GCCC at the GCA meeting in February on Capitol Hill.

Informs members about ecological issues, including recycling, involvement in garden projects, and environmental conservation education in the greater community.

Keeps abreast of legislative issues and provides information to Congress regarding GCA positions by writing letters to representatives and/or attending legislative sessions.

Follows federal legislation relating to all aspects of conservation and the environment through the “Legislative Update,” the weekly update on issues before Congress.

Educates Club members on current legislation.
